Life with Hollie

Hollie was born on May 30, 2006. She is so much fun and she changes everyday. I have created this so family and friends from far and wide can keep up with how she is doing. And because I don't want to change my whole website we will pretend that this site is called Life With Hollie and Jeremy. Jeremy joined us on October 13, 2008. I am sure we are going to have a blast raising these two.

I know I promised an update when we got back from Chicago, but I have been so busy.
First of all Happy Birthday to Kennedy- she is two today!!
Now, Chicago was great. The weather was beautiful and it was great to see everyone. Hollie even got to see snow - though she wasn't as excited as I was - she pretended to be happy about it. She did really good on the plane, I was surprised. I even breastfed her in public for the first time on the plane. Since you can't carry on liquids anymore I had to pour out her water and had nothing to feed her, so that was that, there was even this older man sitting next to me, he pretended to be asleep though. She really didn't fuss that much and slept during most of the flight there and back. Everyone in Chicago was excited to meet her and she was happy to meet them, I guess. I had to buy her some warmer clothes when we got there since I didn't realize it was going to be so cold, but that's okay she needed warmer clothes anyway to get through our 2 weeks of winter. I took some pictures, not many though, I video taped a lot of her playing with her cousins Kit and Lily, if we had waited a week we could have even met Fin who was born yesterday (10-19-06) I hear he's really cute and looks like his sister.
Back to Hollie, she can almost sit by herself, sometimes she rolls to the side and can't stop, but if she falls forward, she can stop herself and sit back up. She is growing so fast and getting so strong, she will be moving really soon, time to start child proofing.

Hollie gets to take her first airplane ride on Friday. I am a little nervous about it, but I am sure she will do just fine. I am more nervous about packing everything we need and how I will carry it all but I know there are stores where we are going so if I forget something I can just go buy it. We (Kevin, Monica, Kennedy and I) are going to Chicago. Kevin has tickets to the Bears game Sunday and I am going to babysit and hang out with the family. I love doing that. I'll let you know how it went.
Oh, also Hollie has started sleeping in her own bed. The first night was Monday night. She sleeps great - from 10:00pm till 7:30am. All night - no waking up. I, on the other hand do not sleep so well, I keep thinking someone is going to kidnap her or something. I wake up several times a night to check on her. Hopefully that will stop soon so I can sleep as much as she does.
All in all we are settling into a routine and she is doing so good, I am so proud of her. I hope to have new pictures next week after our trip so keep checking.
